Hash House a Go Go on 6800 West Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, seems like a popular spot with the locals, as at 11 am on a Sunday, the place was chock full of people. We did not need to wait long as they are a well-oiled machine. The restaurant has a modern clean simple feel.
The 2 Big Boys got an invite on this Occasion, we joined our friend and head of marketing. He is a fit guy, so I was nervous that the food may lack taste but then I saw the wait staff passing by with huge portions of what looked like the 2 big boys are soon to be satisfied!
This establishment serves brunch all day and night with a dinner menu added at 5 pm.
Owen decided on the HH BIG QUESADILLA, which is stuffed with potatoes, eggs, jalapenos, tomato, and cheese all topped with ranchero sauce and served on a bed of mashed potatoes. This thing was huge and for a fit guy he can grub down, he ate the entire plate in honor of the 2 Big boy tradition.
He says “he loves that dish and gets it every time.” I tasted the mashed potatoes, I can see why!
Pleasingly Plump decided on SAGE FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLES, two sage fried chicken breasts with hardwood smoked bacon waffle tower, hot maple reduction, and fried leeks, This was another massive plate of food and my brother says “quality everything! The bacon is in the waffles and it is amazing!”
I decided on Hash and got mushroom, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomato and Fresh Spinach served with eggs and a biscuit. I savored each bite of the fresh ingredients and barely could finish, so Owen is a champ! these plates of food could feed two easy. Pleasingly Plump got a bit sticky and asked for a wet nap, the waiter went the extra mile and dampened a napkin as they did not carry wet naps. My way of saying the service was great! The food is fantastic and we had a great sit down brunch, thanks Owen, we really enjoyed it!
Hash House a Go Go is quality! We think the price is appropriate, considering the portion size. We do recommend you visit, bring your appetite!
